Dear Lauren,
You turned 2 on April 30, 2010!! Two years went by quickly. Mommy and Daddy already think you are growing up too fast! We enjoy every moment with you. You bring such joy into our lives. We celebrated your second birthday at Myrtle Beach, SC- just the three of us. We had a great time. Some of the things you enjoyed most about your first trip to the beach were: "swimming" with mommy and daddy in the indoor waterpark, riding the merry go round- which you refer to as the "Merry Merry", eating ice cream, feeding the ducks at Broadway at the Beach, and playing in the sand castle that your daddy made on the beach.
We also had a birthday party for you at our house on May 8 with most of our family present to help us celebrate. We had the works- pizza, cake, ice cream, balloons, and presents. You had a special "doggie" cake just for you to eat. Some of your favorite gifts were a Doug and Melissa ballerina puzzle, a doll and stroller, and a Little Tikes Jump 'n Slide. Daddy set up the Little Tikes Jump 'n Slide and we enjoyed watching you bounce and jump all evening.
This was a very special day for our family because we love you so much and we cherish the fact that we were able to celebrate the day that God created you. Daily, we thank God for choosing us to be your parents and for the miracle of your life. "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." Psalm 139: 13-14
